We have over 25 miles of backcountry hiking trails with various levels of difficulty. Families can enjoy exploring nature’s wonders and hikers can get some serious elevation changes on our longer distance hikes.

Backcountry Biking

With over 25 miles of wide-track and single-track trails, and difficulty ratings from “easy” to “technically challenging”, we have something for every level of backcountry rider.

About Us

Gnaw Bone Camp Nature Preserve is 1400+ acres of hardwood forests, lakes and streams. We are a private 501c not-for-profit organization preserving natural environments and providing outdoor education opportunities.

We are open for day use only, dawn to dusk. The Nature Preserve may be closed for Special Events or due to weather conditions. Please check the trail status before you come (see top of page).
